Trained naturalists are available to explain the various aspects of an elephant, their behavior etc. Tourists can take part in activities involving elephants and observe and learn. Most of the elephants trained here are used for the Mysore Dasara festival.

Visitors are also facilitated on how to feed an elephant and the different types of food that elephants like. Bird life here in Dubare is a treasure house of peacocks, kingfishers, partridges etc. Other animals found in the forests are tigers, sloth bears, Indian Bison, bears, crocodiles etc.
